Fifa's World Rankings for September 2024 were published on September 19, 2024 at FIFA HQ in Zurich in Switzerland.

There were no changes in the top 15 teams since July, 2024.

World Cup winners Argentina remain at the top of the rankings, France are still second followed by Euro 2024 winners Spain, who stay ahead of beaten finalists England.

Next comes Brazil, Belgium, The Netherlands, Portugal, Colombia, and Euro 2020 winners Italy.

Morocco who reached the semifinals in Qatar are still the top African team in 14th place. Wales are 29th. The USA are in 18th place, down two from July.

Australia are in 25th place (down 1 from July); Japan are in 16th position - up two slots. Near neighbors, South Korea are 23rd in the rankings. Scotland are in 52nd place down again from the previous rankings.

The Republic of Ireland are in 62nd place, down four, while Northern Ireland are in 73rd place, up 1 slot. The lowest-ranked team is San Marino in 210th place with Eritrea unranked.
