Yokohama FC (HK)
Yokohama Hong Kong FC enjoyed a brief two-year stay in Hong Kong's top leagues. The team was formed as an offshoot of the J-League 2 team, Yokohama FC.
The parent club is a Japanese professional football club based in the Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture.
Yokohama Hong Kong FC's squad was made up of players from Hong Kong and a few loan players from the parent club itself, these players included Taiki Murai and Masaaki Ideguchi.
In the 2013-14 season, Yokohama FC Hong Kong changed their home ground from Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground to Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground.
After a change in sponsorship, for the 2014-15 season, the team was renamed as YFCMD (Yokohama FC Modic) and moved to Sham Shui Po Sports Ground.
The team was a mix of inexperienced youngsters and seasoned professionals and though they often played well, the team did not make an impact in the Hong Kong League.
