Limited-Edition 'Believers Brew' released by Carlsberg and Erdinger in celebration of Jürgen Klopp
LFC's official beer partner Carlsberg have collaborated with Erdinger Weissbräu to launch a special beer in celebration of Jürgen's nine seasons at the club.
The 'Believers Brew' - crafted in the departing manager's honour - is a limited-edition 75cl beer ABV 8% that has been created using an even split of each beer brands signature ingredients.
Meaning it is 50% Carlsberg signature pilsner malt, 50% Erdinger signature wheat malt, and yeasts from both businesses in the two-stage brewing process. Plus, this special beer also uses a proportion of unique Red Barley.
Only 491 bottles of this 'Believers Brew' will ever be made and sold, one for each competitive game Klopp oversaw as the Reds boss.
Each bottle will be sold by Carlsberg via an auction, with all proceeds donated to the LFC Foundation, to be used to fund programmes for over-18s only.
The auction will begin on May 15 through international online auction platform Graham Budd, with starting bids at €1.
Each one will be numbered linking back to a specific fixture including the notable:
- Bottle 206 Liverpool FC 4-0 FC Barcelona UEFA Champions League, 7th May 2019, Anfield, Liverpool
- Bottle 208 Liverpool FC 2-0 Tottenham Hotspur FC UEFA Champions League, 1st June 2019, Metropolitano Stadium, Madrid
- Bottle 264 Liverpool FC 5-3 Chelsea FC Premier League, 22nd July 2020, Anfield, Liverpool
Klopp's unforgettable tenure saw him amass numerous trophies including the Premier League, FA Cup, UEFA Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, League Cup and more, as well as the club record for the longest unbeaten run in Premier League matches (44)
With Carlsberg a proud partner of Liverpool FC for over 30 years and Jürgen Klopp an Erdinger Weissbräu ambassador since 2020, the collaboration between the brands is one rarely seen in the drinks industry.
The Believers Brew name draws inspiration from Klopp's first press conference, in which the manager promised to turn "Doubters to Believers", a promise he undoubtedly fulfilled.
