Figo To Light Up Macau
Organised by SJM Resorts, S.A., jointly organised by the Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government and with technical support provided by the Macao Football Association, the "In Celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao SAR: SJM Five-a-side Football Friendly: Portugal Icons vs. GBA Flying Dragon" is scheduled on 19 May, Sunday.
With only a few days away, football fans can look forward to a series of pre-game celebrations as excitement reaches a fever pitch in Macau.
Open-Topped Bus Tour of Macau 18 May 2024
On 17 May, the star-studded Portugal Icons team, captained by former FIFA World Player of the Year and Ballon d'Or winner Luis Figo, will arrive at the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau. The following day (18 May), from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., the Portugal Icons will parade around Macau in an open-top bus, starting from the West Lobby of Grand Lisboa Palace Macau.
The route will include many of Macau's landmarks, including Lotus Square, Grand Lisboa Macau, Hotel Lisboa Macau and others. This event offers eager fans a unique opportunity for an up-close view of the heroes from the golden era of Portuguese football.
Legends of Tomorrow - Football Camp 18 May 2024
On the eve of the upcoming match, SJM will host a youth football camp featuring a group of esteemed Portuguese football stars.
This event aims to provide local youth with the opportunity to engage in football alongside the renowned players, allowing them to both learn from their expertise and enjoy the fun of the sport together. Additionally, the players will engage in friendly exchanges with the participants, further igniting the passion for sports in the younger generation and contributing to the development of local sports talent.
Fans Meet-and-Greet Event 19 May 2024
On the day of the friendly match on 19 May, representatives from the Portugal Icons will host a fan meet-and-greet session between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. in the East Lobby of the Grand Lisboa Palace Macau. From now to 15 May, fans who have purchased tickets may access SJM's official website and sign up for a chance to interact closely with the legendary Portuguese football stars, obtain autographs, and take photos with their idols, setting the stage for the main event at 4:00 p.m.

SJM Five-a-side Football Friendly: Portugal Icons vs. GBA Flying Dragon 19 May 2024
In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao SAR Government, the friendly match will kick off at 4:00 p.m. on 19 May at the Macao East Asian Games Dome. Doors will open at 2:00 p.m., allowing spectators to immerse themselves in a festive array of pre-match activities, including photo spots, exclusive football merchandise shops and food stalls, all contributing to a comprehensive celebratory football carnival atmosphere.
During the event, the organisers have invited famous artists from the mainland show "Street Dance of China," including Ye Yin, Long Fei, MC Liao Bo and DJ Alone, to perform enthusiastically.
Additionally, the Tai Chi band from Hong Kong will also perform live, contributing to the heated atmosphere. Limited-edition Themed Souvenirs, Exhibition and Hospitality SJM's hotels and resort will be launching a series of peripheral promotions, including the sale of limited-edition sportswear and souvenirs at The Gift Shop of Grand Lisboa Palace and at the match venue, such as SJM's mascot "Sam the Rooster" plush toy dressed in the Portuguese Icons team uniform or referee's outfit, as well as a range of football themed merchandises, including t-shirts, scarves, baseball caps, and footballs.
On 18 and 19 May, a special-themed exhibition will be held in the West Lobby of the Grand Lisboa Palace Macau, showcasing personal collections on loan from the Portugal Icons. Additionally, fans will have the opportunity to indulge in football-themed cocktails and food at Mesa by José Avillez and The Grand Buffet for a special culinary experience.
On the day of the match, the live broadcast of the match is also available at The Terrace Bar. Starting from now to 26 May, guests who hop on the shuttle bus, stay at designated SJM hotels, dine at select restaurants, or enjoy spa services will receive a complimentary "Kick off the game at SJM" scratch card.
Each card provides an opportunity to win extraordinary prizes, including an iPhone 15 Pro Max and other prizes, with a total prize value exceeding MOP20,000,000.
Tickets Purchasing and Redemption Tickets for the match are available through MacaoTicket.com, Cityline (Hong Kong), Damai, and Trip.com, as well as at The Gift Shop of Grand Lisboa Palace.
Additionally, from now until 17 May, patrons who spend over MOP 6,000 at Grand Lisboa Palace can redeem two tickets to the football match, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
