Fifa World Rankings August 2014
Fifa's World Rankings for August 2014 were published today at FIFA HQ in Zurich, Switzerland. The Fifa World Rankings are now published on Thursday and not Wednesday as before.
These are the second rankings after the World Cup in Brazil and new world champions Germany remain at the top followed by Argentina, the Netherlands, Colombia, Belgium, Uruguay, Spain, Brazil, Switzerland, and France.
England remain in a lowly 20th place.
Algeria are the top African team in 24th place.
Japan are in 44th place.
The USA are in 18th place, down three spots from last month. Scotland are in 28th position, down one. The Republic of Ireland are in 66th place, Wales are in 41st, Northern Ireland are 95th.
